Perfume Programme Notes

For perfume lovers [ perfumophiles ] - only

We have founded AromaSciences so that we could do something fresh and original in 21st century perfumery.

Even professional perfumers complain, in print, about the current sorry state of perfumery. The shelves of stores are growning with too many unoriginal, me-too perfumes; laced with synthetic chemicals whilst alluding to flower aroma notes; and the perfumes are sold to you by people who know nothing about perfumery or its rich heritage.

Our company is built around our perfumer – George Dodd. We are proud to name our perfumer [ who created your current perfumes ? ] and he likes to hold perfume workshops for the public; where both he and the audience sniff their way through the creation of perfumes.

Unfortunately, most of our customers live all around the world, far from the romantic Scottish Highlands; and so cannot join these workshops.

So – by way of compensation – George is writing perfume programme notes on each of the many perfumes he has created in the AromaSciences and Amora ranges.

Unlike the anodyne descriptions of perfumes in magazines and newspapers; which are simply versions of the PR hand-outs; re-cycled by journalists and alluding to aroma notes which suggest that the perfume actually has the natural oils from flowers (rather than synthetic chemicals) – we prefer to let you hear the voice of the perfumer – the designer and creator of the perfumes.

The perfume programme notes are very much – work in progress – they are being gradually written – as time permits.
